• Yankees 8 Orioles 0: Alex Rodriguez hit two home runs, only one that counted, and the Yankees cruised to an easy victory for the first time in ages. Rodriguez hit a home run in the third and then clearly hit a ball off the yellow staircase in right in the sixth, but the umpires ruled the ball was in play and he had to settle for a double Considering what happened Sunday night with Carlos Delgado, isn’t it about time MLB adopted replay?

The offensive fireworks overshadowed another great start for Darrell Rasner. Rasner improved to 3-0 thanks to seven great innings. The Yankees used Joba in the 8th and 9th of a blowout and announced after the game that his conversion to a starting pitcher has begun. Does that mean we have Kyle Farnsworth in the 8th again to look forward to?

  • Braves 11 Mets 4: Atlanta pounded the Mets for 11 runs off of 14 hits as they continued their mastery of New York. Rookie Jair Jurrjens kept New York off-balance all night and Chipper Jones hit his 12th home run of the year. The teams play again today and it will be interesting to see if Atlanta retaliates for the Mets hitting four of their players in this series and sending Chipper out of the game Wednesday with a limp.
