Islanders 2 Devils 0: In a battle between two of the worst teams in hockey, the Islanders emerged with their first win since October. Rick DiPietro stopped 29 shots, 13 in the third period to snap the Islanders 14-game streak without a win. Jesse Joensuu and Rob Schremp scored for New York.

Rangers 3 Florida 0: Henrik Lundqvist had his best game in a long time. The King stopped 40 shots, including 16 in the final period as the Rangers were dominated in every area except the scoreboard.
