• Miami 75 Knicks 72: April 13th was the last time the Miami Heat won a game. From that date they lost their final two regular season games, got swept out of the playoffs, lost every exhibition game they played this preseason and opened the 2007-08 campaign 0-5. All it took to wipe out nearly seven months of losing was a game with the Knicks.

Sure, New York didn’t have Zach Randolph, but they didn’t need him Sunday. David Lee had 14 points and 14 rebounds in his place and the Knicks had five-point lead with 2:30 to play. But, a couple of rebounds got away and it was down to a three-point lead. Then, Mardy Collins couldn’t make a free throw and after a Lee turnover and a Heat basket, the lead was down to one. Then Stephon Marbury threw the ball away and Miami converted again on a Jason Williams jumper. The Heat added two more points and their 8-0 run to close the game gave them their first win in almost seven months and dropped the Knicks to 2-3.
