- Nets 121 Mavericks 97: Devin Harris made Jason Kidd look bad Friday and he made the Mavericks look even worse. Harris scored 41 points and added 13 assists as he brought the Izod Center crowd to its feet multiple times. No more so than when he left the game and the fans erupted in “Thank you Cuban” chants, thanking Dallas owner, Mark Cuban, for making the Kidd-Harris swap.
- Milwaukee 105 Knicks 81: Things started badly for the Knicks when Al Harrington couldn’t make it to MSG in time because of the weather and they got worse from there. Maybe they were tried from their recent road trip, but the Knicks were clearly not ready to compete Friday. By halftime they were down 16 and they never competed at all.
- New Jersey 5 Ottawa 1: Patrik Elias had two goals and two assists and the Devils jumped all over the Senators in an easy win Friday.
- Minnesota 4 Islanders 1: They are just cousins, but there is something wrong about seeing a Gillies score a goal against the Islanders. Colton Gillies’ goal broke a 1-1 tie and sparked the Wild to a big third period.
