CC Sabathia imploded in the sixth inning to spoil a rematch of last Monday's great duel with David Price. Tampa Bay ended up scoring seven runs in the inning and routed the Yankees, 10-3, to earn a split of the four-game set at Yankee Stadium. The Rays won 10 of the 18 games between the teams this season and would win the division if the teams finish tied.

Right now, the Yankees lead by a half-game. A Marcus Thames homer -- against a lefty, naturally -- gave the Yankees an early lead. Sabathia, despite earning a reputation as pitching to his run support, did not do so Friday. He may have the wins, but he doesn't have much else on Felix Hernandez, who lost Thursday when he allowed one run on two hits in a loss to Toronto.
