  • Knicks 119, Nuggets 112: Isiah Thomas had his Knicks go toe-to-toe with the high-flying Nuggets, and they came out on top despite trailing by 15. Don't look now, but Thomas may have made a smart move in acquiring Zach Randolph. Eddy Curry is still overweight and Renaldo Balkman was still taken too early, but the Knicks put on quite a show for the Garden fans. And it didn't involve the fisticuffs of last season's brawl. They host Orlando on Friday.

  • Nets 87, Hawks 82: Vince Carter doesn't look like Vince Carter, but the Nets still had enough to get past the lowly Hawks Carter's still recovering from a knee injury, so he and his teammates no doubt hope it's just a matter of time. Jason Kidd almost added another triple-double and Richard Jefferson had 25 points. The Nets get the Wizards on Thursday night.

  • Islanders 3, Rangers 2: Everything looked so good for the Rangers through two periods. They clearly forgot there was a third. The insurgents from Long Island rallied with three goals in the final session to stun the Rangers and end a four-game winning streak. Miroslav Satan and his game-winner were the biggest reason. All the goals came in the first 11 minutes, 12 seconds of the period.
