Rays 5, Yankees 1: CC Sabathia had a career game Friday night. Unfortunately, he was on the bad end of that — allowing five home runs for the first time in his career. Sabathia gave up solo home runs to Casey Kotchman, Kelly Shoppach, Johnny Damon, Elliot Johnson and Evan Longoria. The five home runs and Tampa Bay pitching from David Price were enough to give Sabathia his second loss in a row, dropping his record to 16-7.
Diamondbacks 4, Mets 3: Arizona took an early lead with a Justin Upton home run in the first inning and added another three runs in the second. The Mets were unable to mount a comeback, despite scoring one run in the 8th and 9th innings.
Mystics 64, Liberty 63: The Mystics rallied from 9 points down in the 4th quarter to defeat the Liberty for the second time in a week. Crystal Langhorne led Washington in scoring with 18 points.
