With a dominant stretch in a 4:53 span of the second period, the Rangers rallied to beat the Hurricanes, 5-3, for their fourth straight victory. That came after a two-game losing streak that followed a seven straight wins. Ryan McDonagh, Marian Gaborik and Sean Avery had the goals during that critical stretch and were among 14 Rangers to record points. Martin Biron got the win as he started for Henrik Lundqvist.

Ryan Callahan and Michael Sauer had the other goals. The Rangers lead the NHL in points per game and trail the Penguins by three points (with four games in hand) for the best record in the Eastern Conference. Could this be the best Rangers team in recent memory?
