In Stockholm to open their season, the Rangers extracted a point from a 3-2 overtime loss to the Kings on Friday. Henrik Lundqvist, a Sweden native and a local hero, inspired the crowd to root for the Rangers, but Anze Kopitar stole the show with a goal and an assist on the game-winner in overtime. The Kings forward moved to Sweden to train when he was 16, and the crowd noticed that, too. Ruslan Fedotenko and Artem Anisimov botched a clearance toset up the first Kings goal, but they also both set up captain Ryan Callahan for the first Rangers goal of 2011-12. Marian Gaborik scored midway through the third period to give the Rangers the lead, but the Rangers allowed a tying goal with four minutes, 59 seconds remaining.
