Wild 4, Devils 2: It was not a good night for Martin Brodeur as the Devils netminder didn't last past the first period in Friday night's game. The Devils took an early one-goal lead on a Zach Parise goal, but the Wild quickly took the lead with three consecutive goals, chasing Brodeur out of the game after just eight minutes of play. While New Jersey would add another goal, they were never able to overcome the three-goal flurry.

Blackhawks 5, Islanders 4 (SO): The Islanders had and lead early in the game and at the end of the 1st period, but were unable to leave Chicago with a win. The Blackhawks took the lead with two goals in the 2nd and the Islanders tied the game twice in the 3rd. Jonathan Toews scored the loan goal in the shootout to give Chicago the win.
