- Mets 6, Pirates 2: Mets fans ought to be grateful they don't have to root for the Pirates. Lucas Duda had two doubles -- all three of his big-league hits have been for two bases -- and Angel Pagan went 3-for-5. Mike Pelfrey bagged his 15th win of the year as the Mets pulled a game over .500. They weren't spoiling anything for the Pirates, but they can hurt the Braves starting Friday in a three-game set. The announced attendance was 28,790, but there certainly weren't that many people in the stands.
- Red Bulls 2, FC Dallas 2: New York rallied from a pair of deficits to earn a split of the points. Dallas now hasn't lost in a stretch of 15 games. Mehdi Ballouchy scored the first equalizer in the 45th minute, and an own goal brought the Red Bulls even again in the 82nd minute.
