Three straight losses, one worst than the next, are now in the past. The Knicks bounced back from a losing streak to take care of the Thunder, 112-98, at the Garden. The Knicks got a moral victory when they hung with the Celtics last Wednesday but didn't look good against the Heat on Friday. Then they blew a game against the lowly Cavaliers on Saturday and had several days to think about it. Amar'e Stoudemire had 23 points and Wilson Chandler had 21. The Knicks face the Bulls on Christmas.

The Nets hardly led -- never more than a point -- in a 105-91 loss to the Hornets. Devin Harris led the Nets with 21 points.

John Tavares scored in overtime to give the Islanders a 2-1 win over the Lightning at Nassau Coliseum. P.A. Parenteau had he other goal for the Islanders, who are 3-17-4 in their past 24 games.
