They didn't look great in the process, but the Jets kept their season alive with a comeback win over the Bills on Sunday. Mark Sanchez threw for a career-high four touchdown passes, including one to Santonio Holmes with just over a minute remaining. Still, this version of Sanchez is not close to being mistaken for the one that has led the Jets to four playoff wins over the last two seasons.
Plaxico Burress helped keep the go-ahead drive alive with a one-handed catch down the sideline. He was also the subject of an earlier touchdown celebration by Stevie Johnson, who pantomimed shooting himself in the leg. Fortunately for the Jets, Johnson carried out that metaphor on Buffalo's last drive when he dropped two passes. The Jets are now 6-5 and in the thick of the playoff hunt. Their schedule is hardly daunting, but they have been their own worst enemy for much of the season. On Sunday, they overcame the Bills and themselves.
