Jets 30, Texans 27: There was no overtime this week, but the Jets won another close game. Again with the outstanding playing of Santonio Holmes. Last week, Holmes scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime against the Browns. Two weeks ago, Holmes set up the game-winning field goal in overtime against the Lions. This week, all Holmes did was catch a 6-yard TD with six seconds left in the game. Weak sauce, Santonio, weak sauce. The touchdown was set up by a 42-yard pass to Braylon Edwards. The Jets nearly blew a 16-point lead, but were able to drive down the field in less than one minute. New York has a short week of rest as they face the Bengals on Thanksgiving.

Eagles 27, Giants 17: You can't say the Giants didn't have a chance to win the game against the Eagles. Things looked grim for New York for much of the first half, but the Giants managed to keep things close. They even managed to take a lead against the Eagles. But the five turnovers that the Giants had were costly, especially a crucial fumble by Eli Manning. On what could have been the game-tying Giants drive late in the fourth quarter, Manning had his third turnover of the game — no not on another interception — but on a fumble while diving (not sliding) for unnecessary yardage. The Giants defense kept Michael Vick on a relatively tight leash and did their best to keep the Giants in the game. In the end, it was the turnovers and a few big plays that doomed New York.

Thrashers 2, Islanders 1 (OT): Another game, another loss for the Islanders. The Isles lost their 13th straight game Sunday, this time in OT. The Islanders were less than four minutes away from a tie when Dustin Byfuglien scored the game winning goal for Atlanta. During their 13 game losing streak, the Islanders have lost 11 and lost twice in overtime.
