The Islanders were in a great position to walk away with a win against the Avalanche last night, but instead lost in overtime. Entering the third period with a two-goal lead, New York squandered their advantage and lost, 4-3. Kyle Quincey scored the game-winning goal on a power play with less than three minutes left in the extra period. Next up for the Islanders are the Canucks, in Vancouver on Sunday.
