• Blue Jays 6, Yankees 3: Phil Hughes threw 106 pitches in 3 2/3 innings -- allowing five runs on six hits and five walks -- before Javier Vazquez came in and stopped the bleeding. Unfortunately, it too little, too late. The Yankees scored a run in the ninth but left the bases loaded when Curtis Granderson flied out to end the game. The Yankees, who dropped two of three north of the border, take a day off Thursday before playing Friday in Chicago against the White Sox.

  • Marlins 5, Mets 4: A late rally came up short as the Mets fell. Ike Davis had his first career triple, but it couldn't overcome the four-run outing by Pat Misch. David Wright homered into the black in center field -- his 20th homer of the year. Jon Niese starts the rubber game Thursday night.
