With some help from Ilya Kovalchuk and Patrik Elias, Martin Brodeur and the Devils won, 5-3, over Buffalo. Zach Parise, Mark Fayne and David Clarkson helped New Jersey bounce back from a 4-3 loss in Boston on Tuesday. Elias had a goal and an assist and Kovalchuk scored in his first game back from a groin injury. After Andy Greene took an interference penalty just over a minute into the game, Zach Parise put the Devils up while they were short-handed. Kovalchuck followed with a power-play strike, and the Devils did not look back.
