• Atlanta 10 Jets 7: It was a brutal loss and responsibility for it goes to the field goal team. Three separate times, New York had the chance to kick an easily makeable field goal and three separate times they failed to convert. Amazingly, there were three different reasons for those failures.

The first belongs to Kellen Clemens who mishandled the snap and had to try and convert the fourth down. The second goes to Jay Feely who made an awful kick on an attempt just before the half. The last goes to the line, which allowed Atlanta to block a field goal attempt late in the fourth quarter.. Any of those attempts would have given the Jets a seven-point lead and those failures proved crucial. Atlanta took the ball over after the blocked kick and marched 73 yards for the game-winning touchdown.

New York had one last chance, but Mark Sanchez threw his third interception of the game. New York’s playoff hopes took a serious dent and they will need a lot of help to make the postseason.

  • Knicks 98 Charlotte 94: The Knicks finally beat the Bobcats! David Lee had 15 points and 15 rebounds while Wilson Chandler led the Knicks with 24 points. Jonathan Bender had another impressive game with 11 points in 14 minutes and New York is now 7-3 in December.
