  • Indianapolis 38 Giants 14: The Giants are not ready for prime time. The defense couldn’t make a stop and the offense couldn’t do anything when it counted. Luckily, New York has the Titans and Bears coming up on the schedule, but they have a lot of work to do if they want to contend for a playoff spot this year.
  • Atlanta 6 Mets 3: RA Dickey ran into trouble in the seventh and the Mets’ bullpen couldn’t get him out of it. With the game tied at 2, the Braves scored 4 times in the seventh to earn the sweep of the Mets. New York has 12 games left and needs to go 7-5 to finish .500 or better.
