Texas 7 Yankees 5: If the Yankees are going to win the ALCS, they will have to figure out a way to avoid falling into 5-0 holes. It didn’t cost them Friday, but Saturday it proved insurmountable. For the second straight day the Yankee starter was bad. Phil Hughes ended up surrendering seven runs and ten hits in four innings of work. The Yankees never really threatened and they head home with the series tied at 1, but Cliff Lee taking the ball for Texas on Monday.

Islanders 5 Colorado 2: Milan Jurcina had two goals and Dwayne Roloson had 28 saves for the first-place (that’s right) Islanders.

Boston 4 Devils 1
: Dainius Zubrus got New Jersey out in front 1-0, but that was it for the Devils offense. Boston scored four-straight in the second period to beat Marty Brodeur and the Devils.

Philadelphia 2 Red Bulls 1
: The Bulls couldn’t wrap up the East crown as they fell to Philadelphia. New York scored it’s only goal in the 48th minute.
