All three hockey teams earned a win on Saturday. The Rangers came out swinging when Ryan Callahan took exception to a check on Brandon Dubinsky five minutes into their contest with Montreal. When the dust had settled, New York had a 5-3 win. Derek Stepan and Artem Anisimov had two assists each while Erik Christensen had a goal and an assist. Henrik Lundqvist made 25 saves, including 12 in the third period to preserve the win.

PA Parenteau led the Islanders back from a 2-0 deficit with a goal and two assists in the Islanders 5-3 win. Frans Nielsen matched Paranteau in the scoring department and Rick DiPietro recovered from a rocky start to earn the win.

Adam Henrique's goal in OT was the difference in the Devils' 3-2 win over Winnipeg. Henrique's second goal of the game gave Martin Brodeur his first win of the year.
