• Denver 34 Jets 17: Hold off on that New York-New York Super Bowl talk, the Jets suffered a damaging loss at home on Sunday. Facing a team that can’t play defense, New York inexplicably played a terrible game on offense. The weather certainly didn’t help, but Jets’ receivers dropped passes and Brett Favre was very inaccurate. Eric Mangini also made some curious play calls that contributed to the loss. Thanks to the Steelers, New York still has a one-game lead in the AFC East, but both Miami and New England are now right behind them.

  • Giants 23 Washington 7: New York just keeps adding impressive wins to their resume, beating another good team on the road Sunday. And, this win came with Eli Manning’s first 300-yard game of the season as the Washington defense stacked the box to force the Giants to pass, which they did very effectively. The win puts New York on the brink of clinching the division, something they will do with one more win or a Dallas loss and puts them closer to a first round bye.
  • Florida 4 Rangers 0: The Rangers seemed to fall into a trance after Florida scored in the second period and that led to two more quick goals from the Panthers. Henrik Lundqvist was pulled, but it didn’t provide a spark and the Rangers were shutout.
  • Nets 117 Phoenix 109: Devin Harris had 48 points as the Nets used a huge fourth quarter to blow past the Suns.
