A police spokesperson told Gothamist that sometime between 7:30 and 8 a.m. this morning, a male passenger got into an argument with an employee at the Spirit Airlines ticket counter. According to the Daily News, the argument was about a $50 bag check fee.
The man walked away and then came back with a bag, which he said contained a bomb. The customer was taken into custody by Port Authority police, and the NYPD's bomb squad checked out the bag and found it to be clear of any explosives.
