A man sitting inside an L train had his phone stolen by someone standing on the platform.

According to the NYPD, the robbery occurred at about 1:45 p.m. on Monday, July 13th. The subway rider, 32, was sitting inside a southbound L train when it stopped at Lorimer Street. The doors were open and, police say, "The suspect, while standing on the platform, reached into the train and removed the victim's iPhone from his hands and fled to parts unknown."

The police released images of the suspect, describing him as 6' and about 160 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
