The Knicks handily beat the woeful Philadelphia 76ers 107-97 Friday, which really was no big deal—the 76ers are 1-27 after all. They're so bad, they think hiring Mike D'Antoni is a plus! But Knicks forward Derrick Williams still felt the victory deserved a proper celebration with a night out in Manhattan. Unfortunately, all that fun ended with him losing $750K worth of jewelry.

The Post reports that Williams headed to the Up & Down club with a group of friends after Friday's game. Then the group headed back to Williams' apartment for the after party, accompanied by two women Williams had just met. Things got messy from there:

After more partying at Williams’ bachelor pad, everyone went home.

But not before the two party girls found the Louis Vuitton case stuffed with three-quarters of a million dollars worth of jewelry in one of Williams’ closets.

The fast-fingered females grabbed the contents, and took off, the sources said.

Williams noticed the missing jewelry around 4 p.m. Saturday and reported the theft to police. After last night's Knicks victory over the Chicago Bulls, he wasn't in the mood to chat about the incident just yet: "I don’t want to talk about it," Williams said. "It’s still up in the air."

The Post adds that cops are probing whether the Williams’ theft "is part of a pattern of robberies committed by young women who prey upon wealthy, bling-flashing men at clubs and hotel bars." That includes a watch dealer who claims two women stole a $600K watch and $6K in cash from him after he picked them up at a Midtown strip club earlier this month.
