Kerry Kennedy, the seventh child of Robert F. Kennedy and the ex-wife of Governor Andrew Cuomo, was arrested for apparently driving while on drugs in Westchester County. And it all started when she allegedly hit a tractor-trailer on I-684 yesterday morning.

According to the Journal News, "The crash happened just south of Exit 4 about 8 a.m., when Kennedy is believed to have struck a tractor-trailer in the southbound lanes while driving erratically, state police said. No injuries were reported. Investigators believe Kennedy then exited the interstate at Exit 3 with a flat tire. North Castle police found her car, a 2008 Lexus RS 350, disabled on Route 22 a short time later, police said."

State police charged her with driving while ability impaired by drugs, but Kennedy's spokesman said, "Kerry Kennedy voluntarily took breathalyzer, blood and urine tests - all of which showed no drugs or alcohol whatsoever in her system. The charges were filed before the test results were available." However, a source tells ABC News that Kennedy had taken an Ambien.

Kennedy, 52, is the head of the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights. She married Cuomo in 1991 and had three daughters but they divorced in 2005 after she had a very public affair with a polo-playing neighbor in 2003. She has been in the news recently after her best friend and her brother Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s estrange wife Mary Kennedy killed herself, noting her friend's beauty but also declaring that she had demons.
