In a shocking display of naked liberalism, Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia admitted that maybe it's OK to have a law against rocket launchers, maybe. "The [second] amendment does not apply that cannot be hand-carried—it's 'to keep and bear,' so it doesn't apply to cannons," Scalia told FOX News's Chris Wallace. "But I suppose there are hand-held rocket launchers that can bring down airplanes. That will have to be decided…We'll see." NRA mascot Eagle Eddie reportedly released a statement that read, "I feel like I just lost two great friends today: Scalia and Scalia's pair of eyeballs, which I will now attempt to peck out."
We're not sure where FOX got "Scalia opens door for gun-control legislation" from "We'll see." But the gun lobby remains confident in the wake of the Aurora slayings, continuing to push for legislation that would allow concealed-carry permit holders to carry anywhere in the U.S. And they should be: President Obama has given no indication that he's willing keep his promise of making tougher gun laws a priority, nor is Congress (nevermind what gun owners actually think). But hey, uh, lets watch people play beach volleyball.
