Maybe someone just really really dislikes Jon Gosselin's Ed Hardy-Christian Audigier wardrobe—the reality star and father of eight's lawyer said Gosselin told him, "When he entered his apartment in Manhattan and was horrified, disheartened and saddened to observe the devastation of his furniture, clothing and personal belongings, which were apparently slashed with a butcher knife by a very troubled and sick perpetrator."
Gosselin moved to the Alexandria Building at West 72nd Street and Broadway earlier this year. Lawyer Mark Jay Heller added, "Jon immediately contacted me and facilitated the able assistance of the New York City Police Department who immediately dispatched an experienced detective to Jon’s apartment." Apparently there was a note "speared" into Gosselin's dresser, and items like his "television, CD player, coffee maker, a Nintendo Wii game and dishes, pots and pans were stolen." Plus a Ming vase was allegedly smashed!
City Room spoke to a law enforcement official, who said that Gosselin's ex-girlfriend Hailey Glassman (who you may remember from photos like these) was questioned: "Mr. Gosselin told the police that he had had a fight with Ms. Glassman after she accused him of being unfaithful to her, the official said. He said Ms. Glassman told him that she was leaving, and he then left the apartment before her. When he returned, he said, he found the damage."
But Heller's statement points out, "The greatest damage from this vicious, mean spirited and heartless crime was perpetrated not on Jon’s property and possessions, but on Jon Gosselin himself, who experienced a traumatic, emotional, roller coast ride having just shared a joyful family gathering with his children during their Christmas."
