Bronx native Jennifer Lopez has gone full circle: After appearing on Fox's In Living Color as a Fly Girl dancer, she's now back on the Fox as one of the new judges for American Idol. Lopez was officially announced was a judge today, as was Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, who will critique a crop of new singing hopefuls alongside Randy Jackson. It's unclear who will take the role of bitchy truth sayer now that Simon Cowell is gone, but Steven Tyler seems like he's In the Paula Abdul seat.
J.Lo will be paid $12 million for her judging duties, plus her production company is getting a "first-look" deal with Twentieth Century Fox. As for the show, which is in its 10th season, its ratings have been falling, but then again, lots of shows have had ratings erosion (thank you, Internet).
