Retailer Target has just announced that it will begin selling the Apple iPad on October 3rd. This news is conveniently timed with Target’s 5% off promotional discount, going into effect on October 17th, which means all shoppers will receive a 5% discount when using their REDcard to purchase any of the six iPad models available at Target. While Best Buy has been selling the iPad since the product's release earlier this year, there are over 1,700 Target stores or superstores (there are just over 1,000 Best Buy stores). The big question: Will Target face the same import-export problems that Apple has encountered lately?
