Does NJ's hope for thinning the crowd of wannabe Snookis and Situations lie in the ocean? Because a fisherman caught a huge sand tiger shark on Wednesday, right off of Ocean City's beach.

NBC 40 spoke to beach witness Teddy Lyons: "The fisherman, known only as 'Tony,' often kayaks out with a bucket of chum and catches smaller brown sharks. But Wednesday night, Tony pulled in what he says is one of the biggest sharks he's ever caught."

It's believed the shark was around 6 feet long—sand tiger sharks can grow up to 9 feet long. After some photo ops (though none like this), the shark was put back into the water.
