Let's have another look at Monday's beautiful rainbow because, hey, double rainbow. No rainbows today but the return to summer heat will peak with a high in the upper 80s. Maybe we'll hit 90 degrees for the first time since July 20th!
The next chance for a rainbow sighting will be tomorrow. The humidity will increase overnight tonight as a southerly breeze pushes humid tropical air in our direction. A cold front will be approaching from the west and the combination of the two adds up to thunderstorms. Sort of. The front won't get here until late tomorrow night, putting the city on the eastern edge of any shower or thunderstorm activity throughout the day on Thursday. Tomorrow will again be pretty warm with a high in the mid 80s.
Sunny, sunny, sunny is the word for Friday and the weekend. Thursday night's frontal passage will usher in a cooler, drier air mass. Look for highs in the low 80s, lows in the lower 60s and nary a cloud in the sky from Friday through Monday.
