This week's weather is the tale of two high pressure systems. To start out we've got the same system that's been around all weekend. That high is now off the coast of Maine and will continue to bring cool, dry weather through tomorrow. It will only get up to the lower 70s this afternoon as the wind blows in off the cool ocean. That's seven straight days of cooler than normal weather. Tuesday will be a bit warmer as the wind swings around and starts coming out of the south.

A Bermuda high replaces the Maine high on Wednesday and that will bring much warmer and more humid air to the region. High temperatures on Wednesday and Thursday are expected to reach the lower 90s for sure and possibly the mid 90s. That will be our first 90-degree weather of the year!

Friday looks like it won't be quite as warm. A cold front is expected to chase the hot air away and bring a few showers or thunderstorms. As of now we're looking at the upper 80s for Friday's high. Lower 80s are a good bet for the first weekend of summer.
