A 60-year-woman was hospitalized after the driver of a black SUV crashed into her while she was crossing the street in Midtown.
Police say they responded to a 911 call shortly after 10:30 a.m. regarding a pedestrian struck by a car. When they arrived on the scene, an investigation revealed a 60-year-old woman was crossing East 38th Street at Queens Midtown Tunnel Entrance Street when she was struck by a black SUV going southbound on Queens Midtown Tunnel Entrance Street. The driver then fled the scene.
According to ABC7, the woman was dragged by the car for a block before the driver fled. The woman was brought to Bellevue Hospital in critical condition, and the NYPD says an investigation is ongoing.
