A cyclist in Bed-Stuy is in critical condition after being struck by an SUV driver who fled the scene.

Police say they responded to Fulton Street and Tompkins Avenue at approximately 10 p.m. on Thursday night, and found a 43-year-old Brooklyn male with severe head trauma, unconscious and unresponsive. A preliminary investigation found that the cyclist was traveling west on Fulton Street and was struck by the driver of a dark colored SUV, possibly a Jeep, traveling east on Fulton. The driver of the SUV then fled the scene.

The cyclist was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

The NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is currently investigating the crash, and no arrests have been made.
