2006_11_hitrunqns.jpgYesterday evening, a 60 year old woman was hit by a white Chrysler Sebring at Springfield Boulevard and 93rd Avenue. The car did not stop and continued on 93rd Avenue. The woman was seriously injured and was in critical condition at Long Island Jewish Hospital.

Police are not sure who had the right of way at the time, but witnesses did see the accident unfold. One guest at a wedding outside Our Lady Lourdes Church yelled for the driver to stop and then tried to follow the car for 10 blocks. A Queens Village resident told WNBC, "Too many people try to beat this light all the time. They get to the corner and they keep going."
