A high pressure system over the Great Lakes will bring very refreshing weather for the next couple of days. Today and tomorrow will be sunny and mild with highs in the lower 80s. Unlike back in May, Manhattanhenge should be visible both days, so hurry on over to that bridge over 42nd Street.

One difference between the weather today and tomorrow is that the humidity is going to slowly increase on Tuesday as the high pressure system slides offshore. Wednesday is shaping up to be warm and humid with a high in the mid 80s with a very slight chance of showers late in the day. As the heat and humidity continue to build, and a slow-moving cold front draws near, there will be a better chance for showers or thunderstorms on Thursday.

The hottest day of the week will be Friday, when the high looks like it will climb to at least the low 90s except for cooler locations along the coast. The cold front should pass on Friday evening but don't look for much relief as another system is expected to follow close on its heels, giving us a chance for a thunderstormy Saturday.
