Nickel-size hail, gusting winds, and strong thunderstorms are sweeping toward us from New Jersey, just in time for your evening commute... TO HELL. The National Weather Service has issued a "Hazardous Weather Outlook" for New York City and the surrounding area through 7 p.m., with thunderstorms this afternoon and evening expected to kick up "damaging" wind gusts.
At 3:45 p.m., a strong thunderstorm was crashing through Harrison, NJ moving at speeds of 40 mph. The National Weather Service predicts this storm "may intensify," and nickel-size hail is possible. Everybody grab your slankets and get into the root cellar!
The storm's potential area of impact ranges from Baltimore Maryland to Vermont, and wind gusts of up to 70 mph are possible. Maybe just stay at work and continue working through tomorrow?
