The NYPD has identified a man accused of stealing cars from health clubs on Staten Island. His M.O.: Taking the victims' keys which are hanging on a board inside the gym while the victims are working out. Hey, Staten Island gym members—maybe take your keys with you?

The suspect is identified as Marc Steinberg, whose last known address is Ridgewood Avenue, Eltingville. The manager of the Retro Fitness in Tottenville, Crystal Bishop, told the Staten Island Advance that Steinberg "was not a member of the Tottenville health club, but may have been a member or former member at another location." She added that the gym might reconsider allowing members to put keys on racks but stressed that they encourage members to put their belongings in lockers. One member argued to WCBS 2, "You don’t want to work out with your keys in your pocket necessarily.
