What is it about the Brooklyn Bridge that calls, Siren-like, to tourists who try to climb it? It just keeps happening, and presumably will keep happening, since now yet another tourist has been arrested for climbing onto a part of the bridge you're just not supposed to climb on.
According to police, 34-year-old Nicolas Guittard of France climbed on one of the beams over the traffic lanes on Brooklyn Bridge early this morning, to try to take a picture. He has been charged with reckless endangerment and remains in police custody. It could be worse, I guess. He could have put one of those insipid love locks on the bridge while he was there.
