Last night, firefighters spent hours fighting a four-alarm fire that broke out at East Broadway and Pike Street in Chinatown. The fire occurred in the 6-story building that houses the Hong Kong supermarket on the ground floor; it broke out around 9:15 p.m. and the fire spread into the apartments above. Fire officials say that no residents, who were evacuated, were injured. However, four firefighters were taken to the hospital for treatment while three refused treatments. The fire was put out at around 2 a.m.; WABC 7 has video.
