2006_01_wlex.jpgPolice believe that the housekeeper who was raped on the sixth floor of the Lexington Avenue W Hotel was attacked by a former employee. Because the rape took place in a "deserted corner," as one staffer told the Post, it seems that the attacker knew the hotel very well. Further, workers say that it's easy to get into the hotel's employee entrange, "even with an expired security badge." Aren't security badges confiscated when people no longer work there? And the woman who was fondled by a W Hotel employee last December tells the Daily News that she feels awful, but says the W should have done more after her incident: "The hotel employees, after I came back from the hospital, were very rude. And now this happens to another woman." The W reportedly hired extra security to allay guests' fears.
