Urgh, this is one of those forecasts that's almost guaranteed to go wrong but we'll give it a go anyway. The high pressure system responsible for the nice weather the past couple of days has moved off the coast. The wind should start coming out of the south soon and that will ramp up the humidity and the chance for showers. Look for this afternoon to remain mostly cloudy with the temperature gradually rising into the upper 70s.

The city is at the eastern edge of where the rain is expected to fall so there's a slight chance of showers or thunderstorms this afternoon, a better chance this evening, and an even better chance late tonight.

The showers are occurring ahead of a warm front that is expected to pass through the region Thursday afternoon. Given the timing of the front the best chance of rain will be tomorrow morning. Once the front passes we'll be under a sticky, warm air mass. We might even see the end of our two week spell of cooler than normal weather. Tomorrow's high should be in the lower 80s.

With all the moisture that will be around following the warm front's passage it won't take much agitation to get a few showers on Friday. To provide that agitation a weak cold front is expected to stall nearby early Friday with the possibility of convective activity happening on Friday afternoon. A stronger cold front later that day should usher in pleasant weather for the weekend.
