Last weekend may have technically been the first weekend of fall, but this coming weekend will be the first weekend of fall weather. We are starting out with a very pleasant Friday, with sunny skies and a high in the low 70s this afternoon, but Saturday promises to be much different.

An upper-level low wandering around northern Ontario will be this weekend's weather puppet master. Clouds will arrive tonight as the low pulls a cold front toward the East Coast. We should see rain moving from west to east after midnight. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm are possible after sunrise tomorrow through the afternoon. Saturday's high should reach the upper 60s.

A big change will happen once the cold front pushes through town Saturday evening. If you're the sort of person who wakes up on Sunday mornings, you'll notice a bit of a chill in the air with a low near 50 degrees and a gusty northwesterly wind. Sunday will only warm up to the lower 60s, but at least that will be under sunny skies. Milder weather will return as we progress into next week.
