After a couple of cool days, slightly warmer weather is on the way, as the center of the high pressure system has moved offshore, giving us a light southeasterly breeze. That breeze will warm the city to the mid 60s this afternoon and close to 70 tomorrow. The normal high for today is 65 degrees.

Rising temperatures behind a high pressure system are normally chased away by a cold front and tomorrow will be no exception. A weak cold front is expected to pass through the area tomorrow evening. There will be enough moisture in the air that the approaching front will make for a mostly cloudy Thursday with a slight chance of afternoon showers.

The cold front's passage should keep afternoon highs down to the lower 60s on Friday and Saturday. Milder weather will soon follow with Sunday warming to the upper 60s and highs in the low 70s possible early next week.
