A weak cold front will be passing through the city any moment, bringing with it abundant clouds and perhaps a bit of drizzle. What the front won't bring is much of a change in temperature. This afternoon's high will be in the mid 60s if not the upper 60s. Enjoy that warmth now as it may be a while before it returns.
Tomorrow looks to be a rainy slog. The forecast models have a low pressure system forming off the Mid-Atlantic coast during the day and, as has happened time and again lately, those coastal storms tend to produce a bit of rain. Light rain starting late tonight will last through the day on Thursday. The heaviest rain is likely to stay east of the city but we could see a half inch or more in town. The rain will diminish rapidly Thursday night.
Cooler weather is expected once the storm departs. Friday's high will only reach the lower 50s and there will be a gusty northwesterly wind to make it feel much cooler. Daily highs over the weekend and into next week will be in the upper 40s to lower 50s. It is still early but there's a good chance those temperatures will look balmy by the time next weekend arrives.
