In a rare case of complete agreement, the National Weather Service, AccuWeather and the Weather Channel are all forecasting a high of 87 for today under mostly sunny skies. Humidity levels will slowly drop through the day so it should feel fairly comfortable outside despite the above average temperatures. For reasons we don't quite understand the Weather Service is calling for a slight chance of isolated showers or thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

A weak high pressure should bring lots of sun tomorrow, when it will warm to the lower to mid 80s. That same high pressure system will help keep a storm that is expected to move off the North Carolina coast on Friday far enough out to sea that we will only see clouds and a slight chance of rain. The clouds will keep Friday's high to the lower 80s.

Some of those clouds might linger into Saturday morning but other than that this weekend's weather is looking superb. Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the lower 80s. The next real chance of rain will be early next week but there is no indication of the heat returning anytime soon.
