The tenth anniversary of 9/11 is just around the corner, and though "there are no guarantees," the Department of Homeland Security doesn't think that Al Qaeda is working on an anniversary plot—but that doesn't mean there aren't folks out there pushing for some blown up buildings and bridges in our neck of the woods. For example, the monitoring service SITE (which was last in the news reporting the alleged targeting of David Letterman) says it has recently come across a posting calling for "those who love blasting and explosions" to strike Gotham landmarks.

The post-in-question, which SITE translated and says was put up by "a terrorist identified as Abu Suleiman al-Nasser," included a marked-up photo of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and a map of the city with its bridges and tunnels circled. But before you freak out too much, it is worth noting that the forum it was found on was for "sharing aspirational attack ideas-not for operational plotting."

So yeah, beyond watching out for rogue small air craft, now we've got our bridges and tunnels to fret over this weekend. Ugh. Can we just skip ahead to National Cream-Filled Donut Day?
