Brandon Marhsall of the Dolphins may have guaranteed a Miami win over the Giants, but it will take a lot more than that for Miami to pull off this upset. The fact is, the Dolphins are a pretty bad football team. They have been outscored by the second-highest margin in football and they have only managed to score 90 points in six games.
But, this is also the classic "trap" game. The Giants are coming off their bye week and have a big matchup in Foxboro next weekend. It would be easy for them to look beyond the Dolphins and it is worth remembering that another bad team, Seattle, came into the Meadowlands and defeated the Giants a few weeks ago.
Don't think for a minute that Tom Coughlin hasn't reminded his players about that Seahawks game a ton this week. They won't be caught napping by Miami. Plus, the Giants will have several players returning from injury like Chris Snee, Brandon Jacobs and possibly Justin Tuck. Add in the weather, which should be in the 40's and fairly windy, giving New York a big advantage, and the Giants should easily win this game.
