The New Year's Baby Derby is on! Brooklyn's New York Methodist Hospital offered up details about the first baby born there this year.

According to the Daily News, "Jungmin Oh and Benjamin Brown of the borough's Park Slope neighborhood became the parents of daughter Gena at 12:54 a.m. Tuesday. The baby weighs 7 pounds, 2 ounces and is 19.5 inches long." Pro-tip to the parents: Don't leave your personal belongings in an unattended stroller.

We hope Mayor Bloomberg can visit her while wearing another of his patriotic sweaters.
